This has been a long venture, as we began reading, researching and ordering our amazing products to make soap with….almost a year ago!!!
Last weekend, while I was at my retreat, we launched our product. The best thing about our first bar of soap that was sold….the profit went to support the Community Outreach groups through our church!! What a BLESSING! We decided to give back to God BEFORE we even see one penny of profit or recuperate any of the cost associated with our company.
So, here you go…our story based off of:
9 “A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp. They are to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing; it is for purification from sin.”
(Yes, the Bible tells us how to make Lye: Ashes/water!…no, we don’t make the lye, but we do use lye to make our soap!)
We are dedicated to living our lives intentionally for our Lord.
One of the ways we do this is to become aware of the wonderful resources of God’s magnificent creation. This path, or pilgrimage as we call it, has led us to educating ourselves and our children on the joys of making our own food and hygiene products. We believe that God intended for us to use his creation as it is. Therefore, anything that goes into and/or on our bodies is as close to the way he created it as we can make it.
Our bread may not have a shelf life of a month and our soap is not meant to sit in a warehouse for months or years. We make what we need, as much as we need, and that which will be used in the time frame for the product to be enjoyed to the fullest in its natural state.
The home business that creates Suwanee Soap is a small business and consists of five associates; a husband and wife and our three children. Not only do we enjoy the process of creating something with our own hands, we pray over our products that they will glorify our father in Heaven through their use and our stewardship of the proceeds we receive from the sales.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and God bless you as you walk on your path!
And….we need something good to clean our children with….after all, we have three children who love nothing more than a fun mud bath!
