This year we have lightened the load…no longer working on every.single.subject.every.single.day…..
and it has been wonderful.
Not only are we all breathing a little lighter, but the kids are learning more!
And…my girl…our sunshine….she’s been creating more.
She has had more time to dive into what she loves most…CREATING.
Recently, she started making her own versions of board games. She has taken ideas from different games…paper, markers, glue, scissors…and created some games that are so complex, I can’t follow them. BUT, she can…and so can the little monkey man!!!
These games have increased her ability to narrate, add, subtract and ‘reason’…it’s been truly amazing to watch…and since she has such a good mind for memorizing and her little brother doesn’t forget anything…they can whip the pants off of anyone!!!
Games have been a great way for her to learn and grasp new ideas…but, she also has her desire to create beautiful things. The other day, she went outside, found a rock…all of her crafts she wanted to use and made this pretty stepping stone for our yard.
