I am a simple girl when it comes to cooking and baking. I do enjoy food with a lot of flavor and I enjoy grinding my own wheat to make flour for our cookies, cakes, bread, etc.
However, nothing tastes better to me than a simple meal that is easy to prepare and is economical….
Last night, after Dr’s appointments, friends over to play and while the children finished their school work (meaning, I cooked sans children) I prepared one of our favorites:
It is one of our all time favorites….and I only use two ingredients (other than the salmon)
- Wild-caught salmon
- Parmesan Cheese
- Jane’s Crazy Mixed-up Salt
- Sprinkle Salmon with Parmesan Cheese and Jane’s Crazy Mixed-up Salt
- Bake at 350 for 20 Minutes
Serve Salmon with
- Brown Rice
- Steamed Broccoli
Will my children eat salmon?
We introduced salmon and many other foods that children tend to avoid at very young ages for our children. So, it all depends on your home and your children. Our youngest child gobbled his salmon up….and once he had very little left,he mixed it with his brown rice and told his big sister he came up with a new recipe: Rice and Salmon (they are always trying to find new ways to eat food…and yes, there is a little competition to see who can come up with the most ways).
So, I truly hope your children will eat it (if they have no fish allergies, that is!)
