Teach Them Diligently At A Waterfall

Who Am I?

It has been a year since the email arrived.  It was among many ‘first’ emails that arrive in my ‘in’ box and like all of the sweet words, the prayer requests, I was humbled.

“Who am I?”

Who am I that someone who does not know me should reach out and seek prayer, or friendship.

Yet, like all of the emails, that is what I found on the other side the other side of the tears I wept as I read the words sharing a commonality of love for Christ and a desire to share with others His desire for us to Shepherd and Disciple our children.

The email was not the end of the conversation. The conversation that Leslie began continued as we met in real life and I found that one moment can change your life.

Email Changed My Life

That moment the email and our first meeting became something more than I imagined.  It is something I have held in the back ground for fear, my old friend, PRIDE would rear its ugly head and create in me something I no longer desire….a feeling of ‘becoming or being’. Do you know that feeling?

My new desire, to be a servant, to truly serve Him, rather than myself, and so for this past year, I have worked behind the scenes, for Teach Them Diligently.

Not because I do not believe in them and desire to ‘hide it’ but, because I knew that this mission, this ministry -truly has to be about Him.

Share The Gospel

And now, He is pushing me forward-pushing my heart to come out of the dark, out of the shadow and and pushing me to shout out loud the beauty of discipleship. The beauty of being the Mother He created me to be…..

He is reminding me that He put me in this place at this time for His purpose and we are experiencing a time in our country where we, as Christians need to pull together, to stand firm, to find fellowship, to seek His love and to share His truth.

He is pushing me to Disciple my children and with them to share about the beauty to be among others who desire to do the same.

So, with that…here it is.  Over the past year, my family has spent hours, days and nights with the Nunnery’s.  Our family’s have played, cried, worshiped, eaten, prayed together.

We have been discipled and desire to help others truly understand God’s desire for us to disciple our children and pass down the legacy of His love and purpose in our lives.

Disciple Your Children

This friendship, this bond, the opportunity to be the Social Media Manager for Teach Them Diligently has been so incredibly humbling for me.  It’s beautiful, it’s hard, it’s easy and it’s something I want to share with you because I do believe in discipling our children, in the truth of the word of God. And I know that as this year moves forward many lives will be touched and helped as profits from the convention go to missions overseas.  This means the word of God is shared with those who have not heard it, as His command to Disciple our children is shared and buried in the hearts of parents.  It’s an opportunity to turn back the hearts to Him, to win the hearts of children, to share the truth and become one family in fellowship….seeking the heart of our Father!!!

And I am blessed. Not just by the Nunnery’s or Teach Them Diligently, but by these amazing people, who are also stepping out and desiring to do the same- wanting the same fellowship…..and loving one another, because that is the greatest command of all!

I’m sharing this today at Kids In the Word and What Works Wednesday…..because we need to have our kids in the word and they need us int he word!  And….this Works for Us – this desire to disciple, reach out and fellowship!
