Ultimate Resources for Moms
I have been loving our weekly link ups. It is always great to learn new recipes and find new products to help run my home better. Are you enjoying it? I would love to hear what you need or want to help your home run better. In the meantime, I’m putting away the pink fluffy bath robe and slippers. The weather (seems to be) warming up and I don’t know about you but I am ready for some relaxing spring days! spring days.
This week, I selected the Guide to Getting Started with Egg and Nut Allergies – posted last week by Tricia at Hodgepodge. If you haven’t visited Tricia’s site, you need to. She has great recipes, art tutorials, reviews and just all around -goodness for your home. Don’t forget to hop over and see which post Meghan selected.
This week, I thought it would be fun to take off the super-cape and share the Ultimate Mom FAIL. Last week, we were super-busy. We are wrapping up our school year and my husband has been working REALLY long hours. When I say long…I mean Mon-Sunday and most nights he is working until midnight (or later). Even if he makes it home before the children are in bed, he’s at the computer. Now, I’m thankful for his job, but I’ll admit, it makes a few things quite difficult. Take Easter. While we don’t have the Easter Bunny Visit (I’m not saying you shouldn’t…I’m just saying we don’t), we do have fun with dying eggs and egg hunts. Well, this year…I failed. Want to know how badly I failed? Well, I never made it out to buy candy to stuff in our eggs. So, on Tuesday, I had to go out on an errand. While I was out with my daughter at a store, she grabbed some candy and smiled that cute little smile and mentioned that little brother had begged for some candy to stuff the eggs with. So, I couldn’t say “NO”… We bought the candy and when I went to bed that night, I found that the laundry basket was filled with Easter Eggs – filled with candy. So, they stuffed their own eggs and staged their own Easter Egg Hunt.
Do I feel guilty? Honestly, not really. They had so much fun setting it up on their own. I think my fail – has been the beginning of a new tradition. They have been hiding eggs all day long for one another and having quite a great time.
So, two points for Mom Fail!!
With that – it’s time for a FUN Giveaway. This month, Meghan and I are giving away a $50 Amazon Gift Card! Every Month, we will host a giveaway – for fun and to help you in your home.
