Ultimate Resources for Moms
Moms, we work hard, play hard and love hard. Ultimate Moms never do things half way and if we do, we stay awake all night thinking about it. It’s time to join forces and share those ultimate resources that help us run our homes, love on our family and have fun. I know, you might be sitting there thinking – but if I share those old family recipes or my secret about how laundry is finished, then…well…the secret is out. BUT, wait, that’s what we are supposed to do. We are supposed to share those ways that help us during the every day tasks. The world wants us to believe that those tasks are monotonous and beneath us – but what a blessing being a Mother is!
Last week, we had some GREAT link ups – each week they get better. Oh (did you win the Amazon Gift card? Maybe – but you won’t know until you check out your email box and see!). While we don’t have a giveaway this week, we will have one the first week of May and June. They are already lined up and I have to say, I’m a bit sad I can’t enter to win them! But, I’m thankful Meghan and I have found some great companies who want to inspire, help and encourage all of you amazing Ultimate Moms!
This week, I could not resist the Amazing Carrot Cake Heather from Upside Down Homeschooling linked up last week! Oh my, I could jump through the computer screen and just run with it!
Ultimate Mom Moment
We have been working hard in school this year. We began in July and while we haven’t finished every single page in every book or even completed many science experiments, I have made a list. A list of experiments we want to do and a list of ways the children want to enjoy the outdoors before the dead heat of summer comes crashing in. And with that, I have to step out of this aging body and get back into doing things for fun – not because I have to or even want to, but because even in those moments where I (as a Mom) think I can’t do something – I have to. When I was growing up, I never enjoyed tennis – I never had anyone to play with. My kids love playing tennis. One is very competitive and the other two are a little more like me – let’s just hit the ball and have some fun. So, with that, we are spending time – anywhere we can just hitting the ball. The one who wants to be competitive – I get out there and slam the ball as hard as I can. The other two, I am more relaxed. And, at times, we call come together and it’s a great way to help them all learn how to work with others in ways we don’t think we want to.
So, this week, instead of a fail, I have an Ultimate Mom win. Yes, I’m a little sore, but it’s a reminder, I need to get up and get moving. Though, I do love sitting and reading, crocheting, this body needs to move and remain young as long as possible.
Now, it’s your turn. What’s your Ultimate Mom win, resource or even – failure – because even when we fail, we win because we tried – link it up below. After you link up – share it on twitter using #UltimateMom. And remember, Meghan and I are busy tweeting and pinning all of your great posts!
