Ultimate Resources for Moms
It’s time for Moms to step up and come together to support our husbands and help our children grow to have godly character. In order to do that, we need to share, encourage and have true fellowship
I absolutely LOVE stuffed peppers. One of my favorite memories from my childhood is my Mother’s stuffed peppers. She knew I loved them and when I was in the Air Force she made a whole pan for me when I came home on leave. I ate them non-stop. So, last week, when I saw Lori post about a simple and easy stuffed pepper recipe, my heart sang a heart song of happiness!
Ultimate Mom Moment
This past weekend, I traveled to DC for the 2:1 Convention. I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting new friends, spending time with friends I knew and learning more to help create an encouraging environment here. While I was there, I was blessed to run around the Mall with my friend Aurie and take in some of the beauty of the 100th Anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was amazing to see the sites and learn a new way to take pictures with my camera – thanks to my friend Aurie.
I have had the opportunity to visit DC in the past. However, I will admit, until I really began studying our US History, I never fully appreciated the monuments and the founders of our Nation. While there, I felt a renewed spirit that we have a great opportunity to raise up new leaders to help America find it’s way back to God again. Too often we are turning our backs on the truth in pursuit of other ‘gods’ in search of happiness, peace and prosperity. It is impossible to truly look at our monuments and deny the fact that God and the Bible were the inspiration for our great Nation’s founding.
The way our country is governed is based on perspective and focus. That’s one reason I love this photo. The focus is on the cherry blossom – the Jefferson Monument is ‘visible’ but ‘faded’ in the background. It seems our nation has focused on ‘freedom’ and lost site of liberty – the true meaning of both, while also leaving the truth of the Bible out of our decision-making process.
