Last spring, we had to make some major changes to our insurance and in the midst of it, we had two emergencies in one week, which gave me a chance to see if I could have pretty hair with Lilla Rose during a hectic day. Well, not even one day but three in a row.
You see, on Monday, my boys were playing soccer and my youngest came in and said his big brother hurt his foot. So, we got him on the couch and iced it. After our ‘waiting’ period, we realized we needed to take him to the Doctor for an x-ray. Well, it’s not easy getting anywhere in our area. Traffic, congestion and just the location of most places make even a six-mile drive take 30 minutes.
So, that morning, I had 45 minutes to get to one location that is notorious for traffic issues.
But, I did it, much in part and thanks to my Lilla Rose hair pins. Now, I’m not as worried about my appearance as I used to be. However, I know that it’s always best to look my best and I wanted to really put those pins to the test and I did.
While I wish I could say that day was the end to our week at the Dr’s offices, it wasn’t. The next day, my son (who had the broken foot) was sitting on the patio working on some woodcrafts and sliced his thumb. He was being very careful and it just happened. It was one of those moments that takes a Mama’s breath away….and so it was off to the Emergency Room. Once again, I pulled out my pins and clips, pulled my hair up and rushed in. Now, we were both covered in blood and we ‘didn’t look our best’ but, my hair was back and not in the way.
It wasn’t easy and in reality, I wasn’t worried about my hair. But, I have to say, the products stood the test of the emergency and my thick hair.
That visit wasn’t our last. The following day, my son was on the couch listening to some books on cd. He has his left thumb and right foot elevated. He looked pretty miserable, to be honest and I went in to check on his pain level and see what I could do. As I was standing there, blood started flowing down his arm from his thumb and with that, we were off to the ER again.
Through all of this, we were able to test our new Medical Sharing through Medi-Share and I was able to keep my hair up and presentable. In the end, I have fallen even more in love with Lilla Rose products and I am so thankful we switched over to Medi-Share. We have reduced our monthly payments by 50%, our share portion is less than our deductible was and we are able to negotiate better prices with hospitals and Dr’s – thus allowing us to be better stewards with our money.
Please, take a moment and watch this video. I made it the Wednesday after the first Doctor visits. I wish I could have made some after the hospital visits, but I’ll admit, I had hit survival mode and could barely put two sentences together. BUT, I did have pretty hair.
